dc.description.abstractA bacterial wilt of cassava was observed in several areas of Nigeria in 1972. Symptoms and pathogen characteristics are similar to those of a cassava disease in South America caused by Xanthomonas manihotis. The disease is likely to be economically important in West Africa.
